Former WBC flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro will see action at the Angono Sports Center in Angono, Rizal against Jovel Romasasa of Cagayan de Oro City.
The 31 year old Jaro (35-13-5,25KO's) will see action as a junior bantamweight and aims to bounce back into the world rankings. Promoter Aljoe Jaro stated that he believes Sonny Boy still has what it takes to fight any of the 115 lb division champions out there.
The 25 year old Romasasa (10-12, 4KO's) owns a win against Soffyan Effendi of Indonesia two years ago. He has lost to world titlists Edrin Dapudong and Merlito Sabillo.
Also set to see action are Edgar Gabejan of the Aljoe Jaro Stable who will face Weng Haya of the SGG boxing stable for the vacant Philippine super featherweight championship.Gabejan is coming off wins against Festus Omondi of Uganda and Joseph Von Minoza of Cebu. Haya is known for his gallant stand against Orlando Salido in Mexico almost three years ago.
Jomar Fajardo the current ABF jr flyweight champion, of the Jaro stable is scheduled for 10 rounds versus Michael Borja of Cagayan de oro City, for the Luzon Professional Boxing (LUZPROBA) featherweight championship. Bengie Suganob of Platon Stable will be pitted against Dexter Mendoza.
Lloyd Jardeliza, an18 years old prospect from the Jaro Stable with a 7W 0L 5KO and a former Batang Pinoy gold medalist from Oriental Mindoro, will be in a 10 rounder versus Jimmy Aducal of the Mandaluyong gym.
This March 21 boxing event is presented by Jaro Promotion International Promotions in cooperation with Mayor Gegardo Calderon of Angono, Rizal, the ART OF CAPITAL of the country.
