NEW YORK, July 25, 2026 — Tomorrow night, Montreal's Steven Butler (38-5-1, 32 KOs) will take on hard-hitting American Edgar Berlanga (23-2, 18 KOs) in the main event of a Zuffa Boxing card at the Infosys Theater of the Madison Square Garden, in New York City, broadcasted live on Paramount+.
Both fighters successfully made the contracted 169 lb weight limit today ahead of their July 26 showdown, with Butler weighing in at 168.4 lb and Berlanga at 168.6 lb.
"Berlanga has gone back to his old ways. He was respectful during our first faceoff, and now he's back to acting like a gangster and clowning around. It doesn't change anything for me. We'll settle it on Sunday, and I'm going to make him eat his words," said Montreal's Steven Butler earlier this week.
"I want the biggest fights and all the belts. Before that, I have to get past the obstacle standing in my way and take care of Steven Butler. On Sunday night at Madison Square Garden, you'll see that I'm on another level," promised New York's Puerto Rican-born Edgar Berlanga.
The #ButlerBerlanga main card will also feature a showdown between former world champion Richardson Hitchins and hard-hitting Mexican Ricardo Salas, as well as a clash between Ukrainian veteran Sergiy Derevyanchenko and American prospect Jalil Hackett. Action gets underway at 8:00 p.m. ET on Sunday night, live across North America on Paramount+.
