THE stakes are high for cue artists as the Moon Cake Festival Pro Amateur 10-ball tournament unfurls on September 23 to 28,2026 at Pacman's Cue Club, Lower Ground Floor, Worldwide Corporate Center, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
With a P248,000 total cash prize up for grabs, excitement is building for this much-anticipated competition.
It is supported by International Billiards and Snooker Champion Marlon "Marvelous" R. Manalo and the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Chairman Atty. Francisco J. Rivera and Barangay Malamig Chairwoman Cynthia Caluya.
According to tournament organizer Roel Esquillo, the qualifying round (single elimination) is scheduled on September 23 to 26 while the tournament proper (main draw) is on September 27-28.
"We do this to promote billiards in the grass roots level. To discover future talents and world class champions," said Esquillo , many-time Japan Billiards Champion.
The Games and Amusement Board (GAB) sanctioned tournament promises intense matches as players vie for the P120,000 champion’s purse, while the runner-up secures P40,000.
The third and fourth placers will pocket P20,000 each. The fifth to eighth placers will receive P8,000 each, while the ninth to 16th placers will take home P3,000 apiece.
