LICA MALLS 500 SHAW TO HOST PACQUIAO CHESS TEAM TILT

The Manny Pacquiao Chess Philippines 3x3 Chess Team Tournament begins on July 12,2026.

The one-day rapid chess event is taking place at Lica Malls 500 Shaw on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

This exciting team event features a 1925 Average FIDE Rating format and is jointly organized by tournament heads John Salcedo, Jonas Silvano and Kalaro Founder/CEO Jun Lasco Jr., with backing from former Senator Manny Pacquiao.

"The Manny Pacquiao Chess Philippines (MPCP) is the result of such passion for chess and the integration of the Kalaro sports super-app to create the ultimate chess grassroots sports development nationwide,"said tournament director John Salcedo.

"We expect this competition to be just as successful," he added.

The team champion will earn P33,000, the second will receive P20,000, the third place will pocket P10,000, the fourth will take home P8,000 , the fifth will bring home P6,000 and the sixth will earn P4,000.

Seventh to 10th place will receive P3,300 each.

Adjudged category winners will receive P4,500 each for the top 1900 and below and top 1850 and below and top lady while P1,000 each for the top Board 1,2 and 3.
