KAZAKHSTAN and Kyrgyzstan arrived today, June 23 for the 2026 Asia & Oceania Sambo Championships set on June 25-28 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
The others are Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Japan and Uzbekistan.
“From across Asia and Oceania, athletes are landing in the capital, ready to compete, represent their nations, and make history on the mats,” said Paolo Tancontian, president of the Pilipinas Sambo Federation Inc.
“The journey to 2026 Asia& Oceania Sambo Championships is officially heating up as the competing teams arrive in Manila!” added Tancontian.
The Athletes’ Gala Night & Cultural Night will be on June 28 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
“For the first time, the Athletes’ Commission hosts the Athletes’ Gala Night as the official closing celebration of the 2026 Asia and Oceania Sambo Championships,” said Tancontian.
“A night beyond competition, bringing together athletes from across the region for an evening of cultural exchange and friendship,” said Tancontian.
