Weigh-in Results: Collazo and Valdez On Weight for Flyweight Showdown in Oceanside

The fighters have stepped onto the scales, and the championship clash is officially locked in.

Undefeated WBA, WBO, and Ring Magazine Minimumweight World Champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (14-0, 11 KOs) is set to defend his supremacy, but he will be doing so up in weight. Collazo tipped the scales at 110.6 lbs for a 12-round main event now contested for the Vacant WBO International Flyweight Title.

Standing across from him is late-replacement challenger Neider Valdez (15-3-2, 12 KOs) of Monterrey, Mexico, who weighed in slightly heavier at 111.2 lbs image_dc05f9.png. Valdez bravely stepped into the spotlight on short notice after Collazo's originally scheduled opponent, Joey Canoy, was forced to withdraw due to visa complications.

"My job is to stay ready for whoever my team puts in the ring,” Collazo said ahead of the bout. “While the Canoy fight didn't happen, my focus has shifted entirely to Neider Valdez... Trust me, we’re about to add another unforgettable chapter to the historic Puerto Rico vs. Mexico rivalry."

Valdez, who previously challenged for a light flyweight world title in 2024, expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity. “I know who Oscar Collazo is—he is the best fighter in his division today... I am ready to deliver the performance of my life.”

The event, presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions, will stream live worldwide tomorrow, Saturday, June 20, 2026, from the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California, exclusively on DAZN. Tickets remain available via AXS.com.

WBA Continental Gold Super Lightweight Title (10 Rounds): Undefeated Uzbek Olympian Ruslan Abdullaev (4-0, 2 KOs) stepped off the scales at 139.4 lbs for his clash against Las Vegas native Orestes Velazquez (8-1, 7 KOs), who weighed 139.6 lbs.

Heavyweight Bout (8 Rounds): Rising U.S. Olympian Joshua “The Rocket” Edwards (6-0, 5 KOs) scaled 230.8 lbs, giving him a slight weight advantage over New Orleans' Garreth “Da Lion” Payton (7-2, 4 KOs), who came in at 227.8 lbs.

DAZN Opener - Super Welterweights (8 Rounds): Coachella fan favorite Cayden Griffiths (8-0, 7 KOs) hit 151.6 lbs, while his opponent Alan Crisosto (12-6, 8 KOs) weighed in at 152 lbs.

Preliminary Action Weights

Super Lightweights (8 Rounds): Daniel “Junebug” Garcia (13-0, 10 KOs) registered 139.2 lbs against Christopher Rodriguez (13-2-1, 11 KOs), who weighed exactly 140 lbs.

Middleweights (6 Rounds): Nikolai Terteryan (2-0, 2 KOs) hit the scales at 157.6 lbs, while DePriest Johnson's weight was listed as TBD at the time of the official document release.
