2nd SIGLO 100km Ultramarathon set May 30-31

THE much-awaited second SIGLO 100km Ultramarathon will be held on May 30 & 31 in-and- out back course at the Magsaysay Park in Sta. Ana Avenue, Davao City.

“This seldom happens in ultrarunning, it’s usually just pain and glory,” said race director Rod Lanorias of the Alpha Phi Omega.

But this time, victory comes with a prize.

“The men and women champion will earn both P10,000,” said Lanorias.

The second will pocket P6,000 while the third will get P4,000.

The runner entitlements are a finisher shirt, event shirt, 2peat shirts. 6 inch-medal, trophy, post race recovery meal and timing chip.

“You are not just signing up for a race. You are choosing to become someone who finishes 100km,” said Lanorias.

The race starts at Magsaysay Park going to Bajada, Lanang, Panacan, Tibungko, Bunawan and Lasang turning point back to Panacan, Buhangin Diversion Bypass, Ulas, Catalunan Pequeno, Mintal turning point Bypass to Libby road, Baliok, Lubogan, Toril left turn Mc Arthur highway, Matina crossing, Quimpo Boulevard, Quezon Boulevard, Magsaysay Park, Catalunan Pequeno, Bangkal Heights, Dumoy, Talomo, Matina Crossing, Bucana and finish line inside at Magsaysay Park.

“The road is long, your will is longer,” said Lanorias.
