GIEMEL “Pistolero” Magramo is the new Philippine Boxing Organization super flyweight title after beating Marco John “Merciless” Rementizo last Thursday, April 30 at the Okada Manila in Paranaque City.
The 31-year-old Magramo of Paranaque City won by a unanimous decision over Rementizo of Cagayan de Oro City.
Magramo, a former OPBF super flyweight champion, improved his record by 32 wins with 5 loses while Rementizo suffered his 6 setback against 15 wins.
Rementizo started more aggressive in the 1st round.
But Magrano started bouncing back with right jabs and left crosses. Rementizo, however, countered back with his right-left hooks.
It was a fight and melee at close range non-stop until the 8th round.
Magramo was then hit twice below the belt in the 9th round.
But Magramo bounced back with his constant short punches till the end of the round.
The event is the “Blow byBlow” by Manny Pacquiao of MP Promotions and honorary chairman of PBO.
