FORMER world super bantamweight champion Marlon “Nightmare” Tapales of Tubod, Lanao del Norte delivered what he said would happen.
The 33-year-old Tapales knocked out Fernando Toro of Venezuela in the 6th round last night, October 29 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Tapales improved his record to 41 wins with 22 knockouts against four losses while Toro, 29, suffered his third loss against 11 wins.
It was one of the fights of the Thrilla in Manila 2 promoted by International Hall of Famer Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao. [Lito delos Reyes]
