UNDEFEATED Mark “Rasta Mac” Vicelles of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat will fight former WBC International light flyweight champion Richard “Explosive” Claveras of Silay City on March 26 at the IPI Compound in Mandaue City.
The 26-year-old southpaw Vicelles had a very busy schedule last year.
After knocking out Richard Rosales of Bohol on March 27, 2021 at the IPI Compound, Vicelles also stopped former undefeated Jerven “Iron Fist” Mama of General Santos City in the 10th round on July 23 at the IPI Tingub Gym.
Vicelles then beat former world rated Toto “Muscovado” Landero of Negros Occidental by a unanimous decision last December 10 in Poblacion, Dauis.
This year, Vicelles again also wants to fight against good fighters.
“I really want to test how far I can go and if my offer is out I'm ready,” said Vicelles.
He is currently sparring with teammates Franco “Mercilles” Serafica (7-1-0, 4KOs), Pete Apolinar (15-2-0, 9KOs) and unbeaten Benny “The Bull” Canete (4-0-0, 3KOs).
Serafica of Manila will also fight Rimon “Rapido” Rama (6-4-1, 4KOs) of Mandaue while Canete of Siquijor will trade punches with John Kenan Villaflor (8-8-4, 2KOs) of Cebu.
“This fight will be hard because Claveras can also fight,” said Vicelles.
Earlier, Vicelles won the vacant Visayas Professional Boxing Association light flyweight title by a technical decision over Robert Onggocan last April 5, 2019 in Mandaue.
He then scored a majority decision against Jess Espinas of Oroquieta City for the WBA Asia South light flyweight title last July 6, 2019 in Liloan.
